Unified Caring Association Teaches Others about Creativity

You don’t have to be a novelist, a painter, or a musician to be creative. The truth is that there is a creative force in all of us that we can choose to let out or force down because we feel limited. The Creative Guide from Unified Caring Association (UCA) was developed to help individuals live their lives more creatively.

So how can creativity change the way we live? When we live with creativity, we are taking ownership of our own lives. We are taking ownership of whom we socialize with, how we respond to various obstacles life puts before us, and how we define ourselves.

There’s a reason why creativity can have such a powerful effect on an individual. It can help him or her overcome addiction, depression, anxiety, and other emotional issues that far too many of us are currently dealing with. Instead, it can lift an individual up and help him or her live the life he or she was intended to live.

Unified Caring Association reviews the latest resources and publications out there to provide readers with viable ways to learn about their creativity and implement it in their daily lives. If you are struggling with loneliness or depression, and you want to live more from the heart, you are encouraged to check out the Creative Guide.

You will learn such things as how to identify different ways of creativity. For example, your creativity can stem from how you speak, how you understand nature, or even how you formulate ideas. You will then learn creative transmutation and changing your negative emotions into positive ones. Finally, you will perform exercises that will help you create dreams and truths.

By the end of the guide, you should hopefully learn how to live more creatively and free yourself from the shackles you impose on yourself.

Unified Caring Association Sponsors Caring Beyond Borders

When the team at Unified Caring Association heard from their non-profit CARE partner about a wonderful humanitarian initiative that was started by a group of American students, they immediately decided to get involved!

In the summer of 2016, a group of 13 high school students traveled to Tanzania on a service trip. While in country the teens learned first-hand about the global water crisis and even had the experience of walking for water with Tanzanian villagers. They learned that each school day across Tanzania, children have to leave their classrooms to walk for hours to collect water … and the water is not even clean. The students reflected on the hardship of the Tanzanian students who are forfeiting hours of their education each day to collect water that has caused many of them waterborne illnesses. Together, they decided to do something impactful to create a difference for those living in water starved communities. They formed a group called Miles for Maji – “maji” is the Swahili word for water – with the purpose of raising funds to provide clean drinking water to an entire Tanzanian village. With the support and corporate sponsorship of Unified Caring Association, the Miles for Maji students have created walking and running fundraising events in West Palm Beach, San Diego and Boston to take place on Earth Day, April 22, 2017. One UCA team member created an online “remote participation” option for the event giving others the opportunity to do their own “walk for water.” It has created a wave of awareness and fundraising activity across the country!

UCA team member, Christine Greenberg stated, “It is a pleasure for all of us at Unified Caring Association to sponsor such a wonderful act of global citizenship. With the support of UCA, 100% of all money raised by the Miles for Maji events will go directly to fund the creation of a clean water solution for a village in need. Our CARE partner, the non-profit Save the Rain, will use the funds to provide clean drinking water to the village of Makiba, Tanzania. Currently the primary school in Makiba has 1,100 students. Their walk for water is 6 hours long with 70% of the students suffering from waterborne illnesses and 53% failing school because of these challenges. Unified Caring Association is completely delighted to support the beautiful demonstration of caring beyond borders that the Miles for Maji project demonstrates. This is truly caring in action!”

UCA Essay Contest Highlights Students’ Thoughts on Caring

What do high school students think caring means? This was a question asked by the Unified Caring Association (UCA) to juniors and seniors across the country. The Unified Caring Association specializes in services and outreach that help individuals add more caring to their lives.  One of the ways UCA does this is through sponsoring essay contests that ask questions related to sharing and caring in today’s modern world.

The recent Unified Caring Association essay contest for high school juniors and seniors was UCA’s first, and it asked respondents to discuss their experience with caring and how others can demonstrate more caring in their lives. $333 prizes were awarded to the top ten essay writers and an additional five were given honorable mention awards, which included a $100 prize. Finally, because of the success of the contest and quality of the essays, the Unified Caring Association announced that it would send a $50 thank you to every student who submitted an essay.

Some of the themes highlighted in the essays included the following:

  • General interest and how that factors into caring
  • Saying thanks to those who have cared for you
  • How caring must become a daily act
  • Collective caring
  • Trust and caring
  • Caring for the environment

The essay contest was part of UCA’s broader goal to help members lead a more caring life and have a positive impact on their loved ones, their local community, and the environment. UCA’s main mission is called C.A.R.E., and it involves helping those in need who can’t speak for themselves, including children, the elderly, animals, and the environment.

UCA Marketing and Communications Director, Christine Greenberg, said the following about the contest and ongoing outreach: “Throughout the contest, we have been tweeting youth quotes and we plan to continue to highlight these insights in order to inspire the UCA caring community.

One thing we can all take solace is that the contest showed that there are many great young minds out there with very mature ideas about the importance of caring.
